Small bowel evisceration in a perforated uterine prolapse

The evisceration of the bowel through vaginal vault is an extremely rare condition and a surgical emergency with high-reported mortality rate. Vaginal most commonly affects menopausal women hysterectomy or those previous surgery. common risk factors include triad post-menopausal atrophy, surgery enterocele. Estrogen deficiency in leads to weaker pelvic support structures thin, atrophic vagina, making it more prone rupture. Previous leaves scar tissue diminished vascularity wall apex, predisposing dehiscence. Post hysterectomy, axis vagina may be changed, vertical shortened resulting losing its valve-like mechanism. We present 70-year-old female brought department prolapse complicated by evisceration, without any history surgery, trauma. was inspected irrigated copiously, then reduced into abdominal cavity as still viable. A total anterior posterior colporrhaphy done. patient had successful recovery no complication. this case due rarity, absence trauma, multidisciplinary approach recovery.
